Main Equipment of Polyol Production Line

Main Process Flow of Polyol Production Line
  • 1. Raw Material Reparation

  • Polyol production requires the use of propylene oxide, ethylene oxide and a variety of starters (such as glycerol, sucrose, ethylene glycol, etc.). The raw materials need to be proportiones through a precise metering system to ensure the quality and efficiency of the reaction.

  • 2. Reactor Reaction

  • The raw materials are catalytically reacted under high temperature and high pressure conditions through a dedicated stainless steel reactor. The temperature, pressure, stirring speed and reaction time in the reactor need to be strictly controlled to ensure product quality. Usually this process uses a reactor with jacket heating or cooling function.

  • 3. Catalyst Addition

  • During the reaction, a catalyst (such as an alkali metal catalyst or an organic amine) is added to accelerate the formation reaction of the polyol.

  • 4. Neutralization and Cleaning

  • After the reaction, an acid is added to neutralize the catalyst residue and filtered to remove impurities. This process ensures the purity and stability of the final product.

  • 5. Distillation and Degassing

  • By distillation equipment or degassing equipment, by-products such as water and unreacted raw materials generated in the reaction are separated and removed to ensure the quality of the polyol product.

  • 6. Cooling and Storage

  • The cooled polyol product is transported to the storage tank, which is usually stored in a corrosion-resistant tank to prevent the product from deteriorating or being contaminated.

  • 7. Finished Product Packaging

  • The polyol product is packaged in liquid or solid state according to customer requirements through an automated filling machine or packaging equipment.
