    Chemical Composition
    Acidic Silicone Sealant : Contains an acidic curing agent, usually acetic acid or methyl vinyl acetate. These colloids release acidic compounds, such as acetic acid, during curing, which cause cross-linking reactions in the silicone polymerization.
    Neutral Silicone Sealant : Does not contain acidic ingredients and does not release acidic substances during the curing process. Curing relies primarily on moisture catalysts in the air to form siloxane bonds by decomposing the silicone polymer with water.

    Acidic Silicone Sealant : Used for sealing, caulking and bonding, especially where high-strength bonding is required. Due to its fast curing speed, it is suitable for applications with strict curing time requirements.
    Neutral Silicone Sealant : Used for sealing, caulking and bonding, but due to its slow curing speed, it is usually used when it takes a long time to make adjusutments and corrections and when the curing time requirements are not so strict.

    Acidic Silicone Sealant : Higher viscosity and faster curing speed, and has good adhesion and weather resistance. However, it may not be suitable for contact with some sensitive materials (such as zinc plating or copper) because the acid contained in it may cause corrosion.
    Neutral Silicone Sealant : Generally has low viscosity and slow curing speed, but usually has good weather resistance and chemical stability, and is suitable for contact with a variety of materials (including metal, glass, plastic, etc.).

Neutral silicone sealant has a wide range of uses, has little smell, and is more environmentally friendly. It is more popular than acidic silicone sealant and has a wider market. Most of the cheap and popular neutral silicone sealant contain white oil, which will pollute the stone to a certain extent. If applied to insulating glass, white oil-free silicone sealant needs to be used.

Acidic silicone sealant has a rather pungent smell, but it cures faster than neutral silicone sealant. At the same time, in Southeast Asia and South American countries, due to more rain, acidic silicone sealant is generally purchased more.
