1. Special Blade Design
Sigma mixer is usually equipped with two ∑-shaped blades. These blades move alternately during the kneading process, which can generate strong shear and extrusion forces, thereby effectively breaking up solid particles, lumps or sticky substances in high viscosity materials. This design helps the materials to mix evenly and prevents the materials from stagnating during stirring due to excessive viscosity.
2. High Shear Force and High Pressure
Sigma mixer can work under relatively high shear force and pressure. High viscosity materials are often difficult to mix and disperse due to their high viscosity. Sigma mixer can help high viscosity materials to be quickly stirred and dispersed through the extrusion and shearing action of the blades, preventing the materials from caking, agglomerating or stratifying during the stirring process.
3. Temperature Control System
During the mixing process of high viscosity materials, friction and shear force will cause the material temperatre to rise. Sigma mixer is usually equipped with temperature control system, which can effectively control the temperature during the mixing process to prevent excessive viscosity or damage of the material due to excessive temperature. This is especially important for high viscosity materials, especially for heat semsitive materials. The temperature control system can ensure the quality and stability of the material.
