Sigma Mixer Discharge Methods | JCT Machinery

January 25, 2024

The different sigma mixer discharge methods have their own characteristics ang applicable scenarios.

sigma mixer tilting discharge

Tilting Discharge

Features : In the tile discharging mode, the entire sigma mixer structure can be tilted to open the bottom of the mixing chamber, allowing the product to flow out freely. This method is generally suitable for products with higher viscosity, as it can effectively encourage the product to flow out of the mixing chamber.
Applicable Scenarios : Suitable for materials with high viscosity and poor fluidity, such as colloidal substances, rubber, etc.

Bottom Discharge

Features : In the bottom discharging method, there is usually a discharge valve at the bottom of the mixing chamber or the bottom is opened so that the product can be disscharged directly from the bottom. This method is suitable for products with better liquidity.
Applicable Scenarios : Suitable for materials with good fluidity and low vscosity, such as some powders and granular substances.

sigma mixer screw discharge

Screw Discharge

Features : The screw discharging method is to set a screw at the bottom of the mixing chamber, and push the product to the discharge port through the rotation of the screw. This method provides a certain degree of control and can adjust the speed and amount of material discharging.
Applicable Scenarios : Suitable for scenarios that require more precise control of discharging, and can be used in applications that require higher product quality and finished products.
