How To Choose The Blades Of Industrial Planetary Mixer? | JCT Machinery
April 11, 2024
Among industrial planetary mixers, finger blades and double twist blades are two common stirrer types. They have some differences in structure and mixing effect.
Finger Blades
1. Structure Finger blades usually consist of two or more flat blades arranged in a folded shape, similar to the shape of an open fan. Each blade is usually fixed on the central axis of the mixer and has a certain inclination angle, so that the blade can effectively push the material outward when rotating, thereby achieving stirring and mixing. 2. Stirring Effect The design of the finger blade allows it to generate strong cutting and shearing forces during the mixing process, which helps to disperse and mix the viscous materials evenly. This kind of mixer is usually suitable for mixing and dispersing high-viscosity materials, such as adhesives, paints, coatings, etc.
Double Twist Blades
1. Structure Double twist blades usually consist of two or more twist-shaped agitators whose blades are arranged in a spiral, similar to the shape of a double helix. Each blade is usually fixed on the central axis of the agitator, forming one or more helical agitators. 2. Stirring Effect The design of double twist blades allows it to generate strong convection and shearing forces during the mixing process, helping to push and mix materials effectively. This kind of mixer is usually suitable for materials with high mixing and homogenization requirements, such as granules, pigments, powders, etc.
