1. Esterification Reaction
Phthalic acid and octanol are added to the reactor in a certain proportion. The esterification reaction is promoted by heating and continuous stirring. The reaction temperature is usually between 150℃ and 200℃. Water is produced during the reaction, which needs to be removed by a steam dehydration device to drive the reaction forward.
2. Separation and Distillation
After the reaction is completed, the resulting mixture contains unreacted raw materials, generated DOP an dby-products. DOP is separation methods, and unreacted phthalic acid, octanol and other impurities are removed to obtain a high-purity DOP product.
3. Cooling and Storage
The obtained DOP is cooled to solidify and facilitate subsequent processing. The finished DOP should be stored in a closed container to avoid contact with air to prevent oxidation and volatilization.
