What is polyol?

Polyol is a class of organic compounds containing two or more hydroxyl (-OH) groups and are one of the primary raw materials for polyurethane production. Common types include:

• Polyester polyol: Made by the polycondensation of dibasic acids and diols, it is commonly used in coatings, adhesives and elastomers.

• Polyether polyol: Made by the polymerization of epoxides such as propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, it is primarily used in polyurethane foams, coatings and adhesives.

3. Vacuum dehydration and distillation system

Removes moistrue and low-molecular-weight by products during the reaction to ensure polyol purity.

4. Cooling and storage system

After the reaction is complete, the product is cooled.

The finished product storage tank is used to store polyols.
