Coil Reactor
The choice depends on the specific reaction needs and scale
Location and Structure
• External Coil Reactor : The external coil is a piping system or coil installed outside the reactor. These pipes or coils heat or cool the materials in the reactor through external media, such as steam or cooling water. The outer coil is designed to cover the entire outer wall of the reactor more evenly. • Internal Coil Reactor : The internal coil is the piping system or coil installed inside the reactor. These pipes or coils heat or cool the reaction materials through the media inside. The inner coil is designed to be placed directly into the reaction mass.
Temperature Control
• External Coil Reactor : It is mainly used for overall heating or cooling of the materials in the reaction kettle. Through the circulation of the external heating medium, the temperature of the reaction chamber is controlled. • Internal Coil Reactor : Provides localized heating or cooling of reaction materials, allowing for more precise temperature control in specific areas.
Applicability
• External Coil Reactor : Suitable for large reactors, such as large reaction equipment in industrial production, which can cover a large area and provide overall temperature control. • Internal Coil Reactor : Suitable for smaller-scale laboratory reactors or scenarios that require precise local control of reaction materials.
Operation and Maintenance
• External Coil Reactor : Easier operation and maintenance because the coil is located outside the reactor, allowing for easier access and service. • Internal Coil Reactor : Maintenance is more complex because the coil is placed within the reaction material and may require more attention and caution.
