Applications
· Epoxy Resins - Multi-component reactive mixtures used in the electronics, medical, marine, adhesives/sealants, semiconductor and fiber optic industries. JCT mixers are used to add fillers, viscosity reducers, colorants, thickeners, accelerators, adhesion promoters, etc.
· Hot Melt Adhesive – This thermoplastic adhesive is usually sold as a solid stick designed to be melted in a special application tool. Our mixers are used for low and high viscosity materials and are typically used to extrude hot melt adhesives into their final shape.
· Latex Sealant - Often used to fill holes in wood, as fire protection, filler for electrical outlet boxes, glazing, etc. Ultra high viscosity mixtures can be obtained under vacuum operating conditions using JCT mixers and controlled shear rates.
UV and Light Activated Adhesives - UV and light cured adhesives for bonding, sealing and coating applications are produced on JCT mixers for automotive, medical, dental and general industrial applications.
· Fitting Compounds - For sealing metal or plastic fittings and fittings. These compounds can be low-viscosity plastic solutions or high-viscosity no-flow materials.
· Polybutene Emulsions – These emulsions are used in a wide variety of applications including lubricants, sealants and adhesives, coatings, polymer modifications, personal care products, and more. Due to the wide range of applications, a wide variety of variable shear mixers and dispersers are used.
· Polyurethane - Polyurethane formulations cover a wide range of stiffnesses, hardnesses and densities. These materials include flexible foams, rigid foams for thermal insulation, soft solid elastomers for gel pads and print rollers, and hard, solid plastics for bezels and structural components in electronic instruments. JCT mixers offer versatility when manufacturing these end products, including vacuum, jackets for temperature control, and multiple speeds.
· Rubber Adhesives and Adhesives - Rubber adhesives are typically used for applications that peel or wipe off easily without damaging the substrate or leaving any traces of the adhesive. They are great for use with photo and specialty papers, and can also be used as an adhesive to hold laminates in place. JCT mixers easily dissolve polymers used in carrier solvents at high speeds.
· Silicones - Silicones are used in a wide variety of applications and in a very diverse industrial portfolio. The consistency of the product is wide, so many different mixers and agitators are used in the manufacturing process. Common end products include sealants, gasket compounds, mold making materials, electronics sealants, breast implants and personal care products.
