Polyol alkyd resin refers to a modified resin synthesized by adding polyols (such as pentaerythritol, glycerol, 1,6-hexanediol, etc.) to traditional alkyd resin.

Polyol Alkyd Resin Production Process

1. Raw material metering
Polyols, vegetable oils/fatty acids, dibasic acids or anhydrides (phthalic anhydride, etc.).
2. Esterification reaction
Transesterification/condensation reaction at high temperature to release water.
3. Dehydration stage
Remove by-product water under vacuum or nitrogen protection to increase the reaction rate.
4. Dilution and cooling
Add solvent (such as xylene) to dilute after the reaction end point to adjust the viscosity.
5. Filtration and packaging
Remove impurities through the filtration system and enter the storage tank or filling.
