Neutral silicone sealant is usually used in application scenarios with higher requirements for substrates, such as construction, automobiles, electronics and other fields, so additional additives are required to improve weather resistance, UV resistance, bonding strength, etc.
3. Applicable Materials
Neutral silicone sealant is suitable for a variety of materials (such as metals, glass, plastics, etc.), while acidic silicone sealant may be corrosive to some materials (such as some metals and stones). Therefore, neutral silicone sealant requires a wider variety of raw materials to meet the adaptability of different substrates.
4. Diversity of Additives
Neutral silicone sealant usually add more additives and fillers (such as thickeners, rheology regulators, mildrew inhibitors, etc.) to improve the performance and processability of the sealant.
5. Formula Flexibility
Neutral silicone sealant has a more flexible formula, and manufacturers can adjust the proportion and type of raw materials according to the needs of specific applications, so there are more types and quantities of raw materials.
